Michelle Dutrow Diaz

Michelle Dutrow Diaz

Michelle graduated with a Riding Master VI from Meredith Manor in 1991. She was a jumping major but took extra dressage classes over the required number for jumping majors. Michelle also took training, breeding, farrier science, horse health, business management, and teaching.

Michelle is currently teaching and training at her farm, Mineral Springs Farm, in Durham, NC.

Michelle trained "Silver Steps" who was the AHSA National Small Pony Hunter Champion three years in a row and has trained many champion hunter ponies. She continues to train young hunters and jumpers and hopes to show in a Mini Prix this year or next on "Read Carefully," one of her young jumper prospects. You can learn more about Michelle and Mineral Springs Farm by visiting their web site.

If you would like to be considered as a Feature Graduate, send an email to with your name, grad year, and a brief bio.

I have a lot of very valuable knowledge that I can use to help people. The average 21-year-old doesn’t have a system, doesn’t have a solid background. Other than the saddle time you spend at Meredith Manor, having that system is probably the most valuable thing you learn. You can always go back to it.
