Katie Cox

Katie Cox, a student at Meredith Manor, an equine school

I Started riding horses at the age of 10 and it has been my passion ever since. While attending Meredith Manor I not only was able to pursue my passion, but gained skills that I will use in a fulfilling career. The compassion and expertise of the instructors enabled me to gain knowledge and confidence that will stay with me in all avenues of life. Being the recipient of their Outstanding Rider Award for Spring 2003 is an honor I will treasure. My 18 months at Meredith Manor will always be remembered as a time oflearning, friendship, and fun.

Update: Following graduation, Katie moved to San Antonio, TX where she rode and taught for Colonel John Russell at Russell Equestrian Center. She then returned home to North Carolina where she ran a lesson and boarding stable until 2008. She is now an equine vet tech at Greenville Mobile Equine Service.

I love my new job! I get to work with problem horses every time I'm there, and I wouldn't have been able to handle any of them without the training, information, and help that i got at MM. Thanks again to Ron, Faith, Nancy, and everyone else for the tools you gave me to love what I do, and to do it with the strength and confidence to do it right.
