Equine Associates Degrees

Students in WVU-P Courtyard. Meredith Manor students have the option to pursue equine degrees through WVU-P.

Although Meredith Manor programs are certification based, Meredith Manor students have the option of pursuing an Associates Degree with an equine emphasis through West Virginia University at Parkersburg. WVU-P, in conjunction with Meredith Manor, offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Technical Studies with emphasis in Equestrian Studies or Equine Management. These degrees are only available to current students or graduates of Meredith Manor.

Equestrian Studies Emphasis requirements:

  • Successful completion of Riding Master III program at Meredith Manor
  • Successful completion of 21 hours of General Education Requirements to be taken at WVU-P

Equine Management Emphasis requirements:

  • Successful completion of Equine Science Master program at Meredith Manor
  • Successful completion of 21 hours of General Education Requirements to be taken at WVU-P

All General Education courses listed above will be available online through WVU-P. Students who have already completed courses equivalent to those in the General Education Requirements will have the option to transfer those courses to WVU-P and apply them towards the General Education Requirements. WVU-P does not have a residency requirement for this program, so students can transfer from 0 – 21 credit hours.

Students completing the AAS in Technical Studies with Emphasis in Equestrian Studies have the option of moving into the Regents Bachelor of Arts Degree program. For more information on either degree program, please contact:
